Hello and welcome to my blog!

I'm Sam and I'm back with another Sam Reads series!

In this post, I'll be talking about Midnight Sun, written by Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight Saga, which is Edward Cullen's perspective of Twilight, the first book of The Twilight Saga.

Recently, I've been going to a local library adjacent to my home in Seoul and check out various books that the library has to offer.

As I was searching for all the books I wanted to read, I came across Midnight Sun, which in Korean translation of the book, it is divided into two parts.

I slowly picked up this book and wondered how Edward wanted to communicate his story to the readers. As I started reading this story, I immediately immersed myself into Edward's memories.

Basically, this book is about Edward Cullen's side of Twilight, the first book of the series. However, he tells the reader what his life is in details. The book also includes how Edward can talk to his siblings using their thoughts in their heads.

Overall, this book was interesting, as I got to know Edward's memory of meeting Bella for the first time. The thoughts that he shared was in more details than the original book so that was refreshing.

Even though I knew that this story was centered around Edward and his family, I thought the story would be very detailed from A to Z. However, I think this book didn't really satisfied me as much, as I wanted to learn what Edward had in mind in details, such as backstories of the Cullens.

As a fan of romance, I think the whole Twilight Saga sets an establishment on what romance could look like and there is no limit on the topic of romance, such as a love story between a human and a vampire.

If you are a fan of Twilight, I highly recommend this book, as this gives more insights on the whole series and you get to know Edward's perspective of the first book.

Like I said, I read this book in Korean and the book cover was absolutely gorgeous. The illustration in the cover helped me visualize how Edward would look like, apart from looking at Rob Pattinson's interpretation of Edward.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the part 1 of Midnight Sun, as I had to return the book by its due date. However, I was able to take a picture of the second part and the illustration on the cover is so gorgeous.

Overall, this book helped me spend my downtime reading and I discovered the joy of imagination. 9/10 I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially those who are a fan of the Twilight Saga.
